Does this mean the main road between Edinburgh and Glasgow will be upgraded from a glorified dual carriageway?

Oh, look: "The supermarket in question was privately lobbying the Competition Commission to let it grow its market share." I bet the board of directors couldn't believe their luck when they got the opportunity not only to altruistically benefit the country by revealing an untold truth, but also to increase their profits. What are the odds, eh?
much the same as more than 13,000 Poles turning up.

Both sides apparently seem to lie.

The only ones that are talking Tulip seem to be Thames Water.

You are aware there is a problem with food waste in this country?

Multiple years at the very least.
Not for nothing do they put the "M6 TOLL CLEAR" signs up even when the M6 itself is also clear

"As of June 2005, MEL was 100% owned by Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG) of Australia, which operated several tolled roads in Australia and North America. Long term debt was £819 million as of 30 June 2005. Disappointing traffic figures for 2005 led to a price rise in June, and MIG Chief Executive Steve Allen commented in the Australian newspaper The Age, "What we need is to slow down the M6""

God knows what's going to happen as the population grows to the predicted 75 million over the next 10-15 years.
We'll still be building space inefficient housing. We'll still be building roads, rails and more runways.
We'll have the capability to work from home, have meetings at home, but we'll still be dragged into buildings after a 2+ hour commute and accomplish nothing.

Remember, every single "government plan" you're told of between several months ago and next May isn't a plan, it's an election promise. And we all know what they're worth.

I say willfully, because I suspect a political philosophy might be at play here; one in which the free market rises up to 'sort everything out'. This was the dogma that prevailed in post-invasion Iraq - how did that turn out?
