I have a sand based lawn, so its not that "hard". About 220 Sq metres though, so back-breaking...the fork was an easier option (hard on the feet), since the plugs got stuck in the hollow tines and I spent more time getting them out of them.

Exact same one, by coincidence.Originally posted by Scruff View PostThe lawn aerator that I ordered, was so hard to use (required effort to insert deep enough to extract cores) that I landed up using a garden fork to aerate the garden!
Is it one like this, per chance?

It does take a lot of effort but really it's all about mass rather than muscle. Wish I hadn't lost that stone now. I might have to get me and the wife to stand on it together, I'm sure if I was heavier it would be quite easy.
Lucky I only need to do a small area, if it was a decent sized lawn I'd rent a machine (and a man to operate it).

We've got the All-Blacks. Always hopeful for that first ever win - maybe the new surface will do it for us?

Ireland were excellent and we were tulip. Our nice win streak against Eng in jeopardy next weekend.

Tonight trying to control myself so I can enjoy tomorrow watching hours of rugby on the big screen at a local club. Sunday wondering why a few beers has such an effect and hoping it will have cleared by Monday.

It's a pizza with kebab meat and chillis and onions as toppings.Originally posted by Pondlife View PostQuestion: Is that two separate dishes or one giant disgusting one? Inquiring minds need to know.
Quite a fixture in every pizza place in the NE but bizarrely I've also seen them served in restaurants in Scandinavia.

Try parkour. It's only a couple of characters different.

Thanks for asking BP.
Tonight I'm playing football for the first time in 3/4 weeks so I am predicting aches and pains for saturday.
Saturday - dropping youngest off at a guide trip to Drayton Manor. Then spending a couple of hours watching Liverpool-Chelsea.
If the young un gets back in time then we will be going out to a firework display.
Sunday - roast dinner and stuff around the house.
