Cameron willingly chucks a few Billions in bribes to the Scots.

Refuses to pay ISIS for British hostage.

    We don't pay ransoms!

    Funny old world.

The fact that the SNP can turn around and say "look, we told you so!" if he does renege does put pressure on him and his buddies not to do so, though. I suspect they will delay it, however, especially since he's now promised it to the rest of the country too.

I think even they have a bit more basic decency and humanity left in them, than your average politician. Even the worst of them. Even the Bernie Madoffs of this world.

Can't trust any politician no matter what side of the fence they're on. FFS you're contractors, pollies are cut from the same cloth as recruitment, car sales, and estate agents. It's the sods who trusted them (on both sides) that don't interact with those types of sleaseballs on a regular basis that I feel sorry for.

Alex Salmond ‘won’t step down’ in event of No vote - The Scotsman, 04/09/2014 16:20
"During a walk-about on Glasgow’s Buchanan Street, which saw Mr Salmond and Ms Sturgeon mobbed by Yes supporters, the First Minister was asked if he would resign in the event of a No vote.

“No,” the First Minister answered during a lively event, staged to mark the 10th anniversary of the duo taking over at the top of the SNP after the resignation of John Swinney."

Terrible, isn't it, the way these people say one thing, then do another when it suits them?
That's quite different because it would have been admitting the possibility of defeat before the vote. It would be shown as a weakness if he had considered the possibilty of a No vote.

The 3 amigos wrote a 'vow' to the people of Scotland and had it printed with their signatures on the front of the Daily Record. They agreed to keep to Gordon Brown's timetable and they've broke that promise less that 12 hours after the count was declared.

The Nos were warned about that because the same thing happened in 1979.

The Scottish political heavyweights have now turned their attention to Scotland and Salmond has now gone. It looks bleak for the SNP.
