I've rebuilt and serviced my old DC04 with a new motor / brush and hose and its still going strong.
I do like the Dyson DC44 animal but not sure how long the battery will degrade over time.
Maybe I could put the Dyson DC44 animal through as a business expense, "you know when I'm cleaning out CPU fans and Print Toner"

I'm unconvinced. Cleaning a nice open space is easy. This can't:

• Move stuff out of the way to clean under it
• Clean the stairs
• Go up or down the stairs
• Open a door
• Clean on top of any surface, like a sofa

So it can at best do a cursory clean of open spaces, like a really crap cleaner or teenage child trying to get their chores over with.

Had a few Dysons, they lost their power after a few months and weigh a ton. Got a Miele now which is perfect.

For a standard plug in vacuum id always go vax. Had bad experience with previous dyson. This cordless one is simply unrivalled though.

Not sure if other males have the responsibility of vacuum cleaning, but I do. Always been a clean freak anyway and constantly clean floors. Recently I bought a dyson animal - what a gadget!

It would be no exaggeration to say I actually enjoy what was previously a chore. The 299 price tag was well worth it!

One thing I've found is that the names of the Dyson products aren't as clear as they should be.

I was recently hospitalised after I misunderstood what the Dyson Ball Cleaner was meant to do.

It's a modern thing, in the olden days, when you bought a ball pein hammer, you knew it meant what it said on the tin
