Their SLA was just over a fortnight but they well and truly missed this! As others have said in the past it's been a matter of a few days.

As an aside why do all ClientCos seem to want their own new certificate? I thought they were valid for three years but I've never been able to 'transfer' yet!
That's been discussed hundreds of times on here. I've had clients allow it and others not. It's a bit like an MOT*. it proves that on the day it was done, it was fine. Some people would want additional evidence six months later, some people would accept what you had already. Clients are the same.

    * I realise this is a contractor forum. An MOT is something poor people's cars require .

Hyphen was hopeless last time. I called disclosure scotland after 2weeks to chase and I was told that they don't even have my application! Hyphen then admitted they "forgot"... It costed me 2 weeks work!

Advanced Disclosure does take longer. Most banks require the basic.

I haven't done anything naughty but feeling a bit down in the dumps about this. Should it take this long? Is there anything I can do?
When I had my first one I was warned that it could take up to 6-8weeks. Took about a month... and then Cr@pita lost it...

Five days for mine, so maybe a glitch in your credit/personal history? Have you contacted them and asked why it's taken this long? Missing details?

Yep, it takes time because you have never done one before. Once the first one has been done its quicker as there is less additional work to do....
