Best CV font and size ??

Personally, I always use Calibri 11pt.

That goes for my personal CV, and CV's which I'm asked to re-work. It's modern, clean, and looks smart. It also BOLDS quite nicely for headings!

I currently use Arial 11pt.

10pt is too small if printed out as lots of people will print out your CV double paged.

Calibri size 11 is the general consensus in Linkedin today. Need to try this in my 4+ page CV.!

I've used Calibri and Cambria is the past, and on showing it to very senior and experienced recruiters (one of whom frequents this board) they all said "dump the fancy font and stick to Arial".

But you go right ahead if you want to be modern and 'with it'.

Though that'll probably be dropped down to 10pt soon because I need the additional space. Trying to keep my CV at 2 pages is a toss-off between cutting contracts out of my experience section or futzing with the margins/font size overall.

I was thinking about this, size 10 does seem a little small and I may experiment with 12 but if you're using the white space wisely it shouldn't be an issue.

Comic Sans FTW!

I f***ing hate Comic Sans. Why on God's earth do people think it is acceptable to use this in business/public environments. My partners school use nothing but this in everything. I mean, really, the clue is in the name of the font. If it was called 'Incompetant Bunch Of Parrot Nossed Tossers That Run A Business By Using A Font That Was Designed For Kids Sans' would they still use it? cause that is what is says about them!

The only fonts that should be used are universal fonts - the ones that open the same on PCs and Macs of all ages. These are:
Times Roman
Arial
Century
MS Sans Serif
Book Antiqua
Century Gothic
Calibri

which is the best font and size for CV??

Last time this subject was discussed here was in 2007. High time to revisit this to see latest trend !

I currently uses Font Verdana (size 10)

though there are more interesting fonts like

Tahoma
Cambria (Headings)
Calibri

Not sure how common they are..?. Having a boring font is better than pimps seeing junk characters in his/her Imac or Iphone or Antroid.
