Quite recently there was another agency texting me junk and I threatened to report them if they didn't stop as I rung them up and they ignored me. It did help that people were being threatened with being fined for spam texting people......

Bottom line, I wouldn't use a job board if you paid me to. Instead, I have an online blog and other materials to advertise myself, and am capable of using resources like Google and LinkedIn to identify organisations that I may want to work for and that have vacancies available.

2. Use of PCG-standard contracts or something very close to it.
3. Key logistical data such as rate, location and planned duration.
4. Absolute clarity that the contract is between the contractor's Ltd Co and the client. My biggest bugbear in the current market is that agencies invariably sell themselves as owners of the resource rather than as a sales channel.
For the commercial stuff, actually it isn't relevant; we can always issue an invoice (some of us are quite good at it). The more you wrap up the service in adminstrivia the harder it is for us to demonstrate we're running a real business

I'm direct with the client and I wouldn't dream of putting anyone or anything between me and them.
And that includes you.
(Client has their own on-line timesheets and I run FreeAgent for invoicing, contract came from PCG, etc...)

I know a few job boards have appeared recently offering an application process for direct employers but don't know how this has worked in the contract market as most vacancies from employers are permanent
I work for one of these job boards and am keen to figure what type of information IT contractors would be interested in receiving to make it a better viable option rather than using recruitment agencies?
