Just reading through some old plan B threads - any update on how your website is doing?

I have 3 websites launched but the eldest is only 4 months down to 1 month for the latest. I'm currently turning over pennies a day but very early days & have been told it can take a couple of years (with adding content weekly) to really see the rewards.

No idea dude, just about to start a 12 monther....

That's part of the fun of contracting - living life on the edge.

That's my current Plan A. More time at home gives me that chance to work on a plan B.

Left permie 2.5 years ago. No way I am going back to that again.

What do you do as a contractor? I'm a developer, I have only just taken the plunge into contracting, i have a number of ideas that i think could do ok, so i dont thinks that it is a waste of time, i am combining doing it with some personal training.

For example 1 idea i have is a website with a number of services also provided. Going to develop it whilst teaching myself web-api, then if it doesnt make me millions, i have still go something out of it.

Have you read "The long Tail"?
