Rubbish, if you were a contractor you would know the value of protecting your contacts from predatory agents.

As I've said in other threads I gain value from the contractor-agent relationship. There is a tiny subset of agents that I trust and I will feed a lead to, but some agent that's just pulled my details from a database won't get any client info from me.

Pack it in with the lies and disinformation TAV.

Plenty of us also are also familiar with telephone cold-calling techniques: from knowing Fred Blogg's job aspirations you can identify the relevant hiring manager by calling reception or by LinkedIn once you know the company name.

    You then provide the competition.

I agree with the others, it's a blatant fishing trip, they're purely after names to contact for sale, there's no role and they're just trying to exploit your contacts.

F and Off are entirely appropriate.

Second word is "off". First word begins with "F". See if you can guess it.

Anything will do - agents know they are trying it on with this line, and will expect it to be almost laughed off by anyone who's been round the block a couple of times.

The answer is "tell me who your clients are and I'll tell you I have already been put forward"

Although you'll find these roles don't actually exist and it's a fishing trip.

They are fishing for leads. Give them the name and number of the last agent you spoke to.

If you don't want to do that just say you've only recently started looking for a role and have not had any interviews yet, or that if the agent tells you who the roles are with you will let him know if you have already been put forward.

They're just looking for sales leads, so if you want a laugh give them the number of a friends company and forewarn them
