One is a commercial organsiation specialising in IR35 issues, one is a campaigning and lobbying body whose members have access to a wide range of services, including discounts on things like insurance and contract reviews. So they aren't really comparable.
There are several reccomends on here for review companies, with B&C and Accountax equally as well supported as QDOS. Ditto PI/PLI insurance providers; time to practice your search skills perhaps? The trick is to enusre you are comparing like for like.
Then again, join the PCG and do some reading, you might well learn enough to do your own decision making...
Ouch!!!!! lol You ought to be happy and cheerful today Mal!! It's Fridayyyyyyyyy!
right got my EL/PLand PI insurance sorted out elsewhere.
Thinking now to take out a tax liability cover to cover IR35, PAYE and vat for any HMRC enquiry.
Who is best for this between PCG and Qdos as they both offer policies covering this for about £120 and both policies seem similar.
Read my earlier answer properly. They are not comparable; QDOS is a business, PCG is a trade organsation that supports its members if they get investigated. The up front costs are similar, agreed, but you get a lot more benefits from the PCG membership. However it's your money, you put it where you think it gives you the best return
And IR35 is not the major issue anyway, but let's not let mere details get in the way

I've been very satisfied with QDOS customer service so far (4 years), as yet I haven't made a claim but contract reviews are done pretty quickly which is important.
