It's a three month contract! Any suggestions on how to exit quickly and cleanly if the agency and client are sticky on this?

Oh, and next time read your contract before signing it. Its people like you who give the rest of us a bad reputation.

In practice most people will let you buy your way out of a contract. Offer to cover the agency's losses by paying them whatever their margin would have been for whatever's left on the contract.
Best to agree your plan with the client first then go to the agency together with an agreed plan.

This is common in IBM contracts. They expect you to complete the course of the project, just like you'd expect a builder to.

Agency mistake

I would take this to mean that you need 0 days notice. The agency must have c*cked up. Normally contracts are one sided as contractors need to give a longer notice period than the client.
Getting paid if you don't come back monday morning may become a problem.

You could try one or more of the above ideas, or simply tell the agency and client that it's not working out and you will be leaving. Don't have to give real reason. No client wants a sulky, miserable git on their project after all.
