Moo.com are good, and give you the option of having double-side cards with a custom photo, design, slogan or logo on one side and your details on the other. The whole process is done through a rather slick browser-based interface.

I've used Goodprint before and was pleased with the quality and service. I was thinking of using Streetcards this time who have some pretty nice designs.

After reading this I think its best to leave Vistaprint alone, although in my dealings with them I have had no issues.

www.goodprint.co.uk do have some good designs etc.

www.goodprint.co.uk quality is far better than Vistaprint, but slightly more expensive.

Seonded on Vistaprint - good quality product and quick turnaround, however they willl spam you with free promo offers till the end of time.

Make sure you proof read your design properly before you buy though. I didn't and now have a stack of company letterheads with the wrong company reg number on them. Only just spotted it the other day, have been happily invoicing with them for months. Doh!

Do any of you use business cards and whats been your success with them?
Yes, arising from handing out business cards, I've invoiced about £175k in further work over the last 24 months.

    Print them.

I have got repeat business. But it is more than that. You are building yourself as a brand and a business, and not just a temp employee.

Also a lot of people have asked for by business card when in general conversation.

The more contracts you can go direct, the better.

I have had one completely new contract from having my own business cards. It lasted 18 months and was extremely well paid. Also I enjoyed it very much.

The timing was perfect as I was coming out of contract at the end of Nov. Not lightly that I would have got another contract till the end of Jan.

So for me - Business cards have been paid for for the foreseeable future.
