Let me just say that in UK people pay online, and it's normal to pay by card. In the country where I'm coming from this is not possible and you can't create a merchant account on paypal or any other online payment system. In this conditions how can one run an online business?!

I've only done one website (well, application + site) in the last 3 years. Still, at 14 million registered users, I'm slightly ahead of you... Still, I've long since moved out of web work (too many Injuns. )

what I've done in the last 3 years since I came to uk
- some freelancing
- worked for about 1.5 years for a company in Birmingham, developing e-commerce website
- had my first contract last year, currently I'm on the 3rd contract (Czech Republic), it ends in November 2011
in my free time I developed several websites but the most successful one is
www. templatesforfree.com has about 42K registered users and about 700 visitors/day
I'm still looking to develop a cool website that gets a lot of traffic and is high profitable

Remember, if you please, that when you tell the agents you are looking for work, if it was me, I would not mention that you are designing a website from scratch. Otherwise this might put them off your skills and they may try and offer you a much lower rate.

I just want to create a succesful web application.
Start an Open Source project, or join an existing one. That way you will gain experience as well as contributing to something that will look good on your CV.
