Forgive my ignorance, but who are S3 agencies? The only reference I can find is S3 Science. Which I don't think is relevant to us.

To pull of that feat they would have to have at least one of the following: ethics, morals or a sense of common decency
As they have none you have zero chance of shaming them

Also, I told him, that if he tells me the co. name I can assure him, if I have been represented there or not. But the chap was adamant and finally the call ended by he saying that he would make my refusal to tell co. names as a note on my CV, for his colleagues, so as not to pursue this CV.
Will this harm me? This co. is part of S3 group, are there CV databases interlinked?"
It will only harm you with that agency which, from the sound of it, is at the bottom of a dung heap of agents NOT to use. Why not name it wso we call avoid it?

You should name and shame - then email a link. point out that two can play at that game.Originally posted by newtopgun View PostHi,

(PS I dont actually recommend this strategy)

would cut off their noses, sell their first born, ...if they think they could place a contractor in a role.
S3 are on my blacklist. I wouldn't get someone else to touch them with a barge-pole.

Agency Blacklisting - it does happen. All of 'em are on mine now.

As the others have said, there was no job, the agent was just fishing for leads.
Agencies from this particular group are notorious for these tactics. Thankfully they leave me alone these days.

Was it Computer Futures? They are an S3 company and a few of them are pretty good yarn spinners!
