    pimp relationship

always discuss rate direct with your client. dont involve the pimp until its done.. then make sure your discussed rate comes to you.. the pimp can negotiate or be done over by the client depending on his guts....

after all .. the pimp should have negotiated this with the client rather than you...

always remember ..the pimp.. is called the pimp .. for a reason.

    but your the saleable asset.

Had a stint at a Gvt agency when the client offered a max 1%, pimp actually rounded it up to the nearest tenner so I actually got more from the pimp than the client had offered - mind you just went to show how good their margin was in the first place....

Exactly, the client should be gently pointed in the direction of the pimp, a schedule change should effect, you in the meantime should negotiate for as much as you can get away with , with the pimp.

The problem may be that the agent is passing onto you a fixed % of what they charge the client, therefore if your rate goes up and theirs doesn't you are effectively reducing their margin.

Part of their margin is used to factor the captial they have tied up by paying you before they get paid. This is now increasing and so therefore is their risk and exposure.

£50 per day * 20 days a month * 3 months is £3000 that is no longer in thier bank account.

Actually that's good point and was more or less what I was getting at. Watch this space......

Same with property rental though. Rightly or wrongly.
