I have been doing some research into visas and entry requirements, hope I understand it right

It seems that IT Specialists are highly regarded not sure how they work that one out given some of the characters I have worked with over the years

Anyway, travel for Business reasons, you still need to produce a negative test but don't need to isolate.

For a work Visa, you don't need a degree if you have plenty of experience, although I am not sure who validates that ? and IT is listed as well as the UK in a sub section where the requirements are not that difficulet.

However the Visa processing agency is shut in the UK at the moment !!!

Maybe if I am successful I would get taken on by the UK office and if I need to travel for any reason it can be business trips, then I apply for my visa and eventually get transferred to the German office once people start working back in the offices, and yes I might be strange but I have no problem being in the German system full time and legally, no desire for any "schemes" at this stage of my life I just want to settle down over there.

The trouble is, Eschborn is a dump. It's just a load of offices with very little parking and one S-Bahn stop and not many places to eat either.

Suits me :-) didn't stop one of my colleagues back then getting sloshed at lunchtime !! he did not last long

Anyone on this project in Eschborn already ? How is it going and what chances for a Brit to join now and get a Visa etc ?
Had some initial discussions but the Agency don’t seem very clued up yet ������

I would imagine that most German clients would just look within the EU to save paperwork.

Not a problem, Software services aren't regulated. In the German company I worked for we had developers all over the world.

No reason to register in Germany if you work remotely in the UK for a German client. All your tax should be paid in the UK.

wfh was briefly discussed , I spent most of a six month contract last year ironically wfh in UK doing support for German employees , I had intended to get all the registration done then but this effing COVID messed it all up!
