Right ok, if they're normal then so be it...don't know why I've never received them before now though.
Ones I had previously were just confirmation of VAT return submission, etc.

Yep, normal. They send them out on a regular basis and have done for a few years.

There are scam emails around claiming to be from HMRC but they usually involve trying to get you to claim a tax refund or similar and the senders email address will be fakedor obviously wrong.
