Looks like any tax paid in Egypt will be offset against your UK liability.

Is this a permanent job, or a temporary contract?
Temporary contract, paid per day worked

How long will you be working in the country?
commuting, 4 weeks on, weeks off in UK
    Approx. 2 years

    Which country is it?
    Egypt

Are you direct with the client or through an agent?
Empoyed by egyptian agent/engineering company to work for multinational oil company (I am usually employed as a contractor by the oil company in the UK, via my ltd company)

Are you using your own limited company or an umbrella?
Told that I cannot use my LTD company.
Egyptian company pays my earnings into my UK personal bank account.
I will then declare earnings at the end of the year and pay UK taxes.

    Foreign Tax Releif

    Hello,

    If a Contract states that I will be paid a sum of money per day for work in a foreign country and that my foreign employer will pay local taxes;

Am I eligble for UK foreign tax releif on the taxes that the foreign employer paid on my behalf?
Further is there any laibailty for UK benefits in kind for the foreign taxes paid?

    Thanks

Working...
