How easy to pick up part-time contracts? e.g. 3-4 days a week

There is (or rather should be) a demand. Clients do have projects that don't need a full-timer, or are very short term. The problem is that agencies are really only interested in longer term contracts. Clients think that they must provide a certain length in order to get contractors, so they beef the role up or "manage" internally, and most contractors want full-time work.

I work part-time for a number of clients - but that's through networking, not through agencies. If you want to do it, you're going to have to do all the marketing yourself. It's worth it once your there, as you can also charge more (though I've heard some agents say "it's a short term role, so the rates are naturally not very high" )

I'll let you know over the next few weeks. I'm leaving my current contract position after being in the same place for over 3 years, they are offering me part time work, along with another two clients, but I'll see how it pans out

Depends how desperate the client is..... Optevia (blurgh) have a lot of people working from home which could be another option... I think Nigel Frank recruit for them...
