Mate. Tried it. Went on a night out and bought the beers. No change.

Surely part of being a contractor is you can up and leave.. what you're describing here is pretty high up the list of why I don't want to be a permie..

Ltd. And yes I have thought about IR35. Way too much D&C for me to be comfortable with here....

Second thoughts - if they keep on ordering you around, I would exercise my rights as a free citizen and go back to the hotel to have a beer, before going home.

I would work out the last few weeks and look around for another contract.

I know what people say about carry on and invoice and I agree to a certain point. But life is too short to work in tulipty places.

Ah I see. To be fair I wasn't suggesting he was or coming to any conclusions. I was asking if he has considered it.

Comments such as the comments below certainly make me think it's something the OP needs to consider.

stupid things like where were you this morning at 10am (doctors appt and I did tell you), dont do this, dont do that etc.

I find it better if you try and get on with the permies, makes life much easier than appearing aloof and detached/withdrawn.

I agree with you. I just want to do the job. At the moment I can't because it seems for some reason I've been flagged up as someone who doesnt fit in. Permie here- gives me nightmare just thinking about it.
