Granny 1 died in 1970, Granny 2 died in 1977 (the same day as Elvis, as it happens). Does that mean I've 'won' something...?

Great, jobs will now be outsourced altogether to countries who will now have people with experience of working in the UK...

Interesting the mass influx was in 2004 and you didn't spot the issue then. This is just stealing cheap workers from Eastern Europe being undone.Originally posted by _V_ View Posthttps://twitter.com/i/events/1379094308683452416
Did no one think ahead, that leaving the EU was going to cause a shortage of workers, which will result in huge pay increases, decreased usage of roads, schools and medical care?
Probably lead to much cheaper housing too.
I really despair that people couldn't see these effects before hand.
As we didn't build any new infrastructure until we were forced to, having some spare capacity will be a relief.
Feck me remoaners are thick! They were warned.
Luckily 5 million cheap workers have applied to stay in the UK as going home to the EU obviously doesn't appeal. I wonder why?Last edited by vetran; 8 April 2021, 09:40.

One thing that is great about Brexit is that all the hypotheses such as the positive effects of a mass exodus of nursing staff or the revival of the shellfish industry can be tested in real time.

The increased salaries will compensate for the increases in the costs of goods and services, win win.Originally posted by _V_ View PostI guess people will have to care for their own relatives. Or even worse pay decent wages to others to do the job.
Sickening.

And you can look after Granny yourself, so you won't have to pay for care home fees.
Win-win!

Probably lead to much cheaper housing too.
