OK, let’s put it another way. Those who say they want to Leave the EU and not adopt any of its proposals or practices, but have yet to come up with any proposals or practices of their own, yet are still keen to claim the EU is completely to blame for what Leave choose to do.

You really are getting worked up about all this, aren't you?
So worked up that you're not only incandescent but incoherent with rage. Oh well, **** you mate, you lost.

I voted Leave because of our infrastructure-but I don't know what Infrastructure actually is---but I thought I'd use the word because I just heard someone say it---but I don't know much about Brussels...but listen
the EU is considering regulation which would limit the amount of energy appliances such as kettles and hairdryers use. A study into the proposals has been drafted, but no legislation has been brought forward yet.
The directive demanding 10% of all fuel has to be biofuel by 2020. I have no idea whether that target was met, but I do know half* of south-east Asia has been burnt down to plant palm-oil**, for the purpose of selling it to EU nations at over-inflated prices, just to meet an arbitrary target which was fookwittery of the highest order in the first place.
*Exaggeration, it's not half. Yet.
**Yes I know you don't plant palm-oil, you plant palm-oil trees.
The idiotic directive to limit the power consumption of household appliances. Which means it takes longer to boil a kettle, toast some toast, vacuum the house, and there's probably more. So by limiting the power consumption of a device, you need to use it for longer, thus ultimately not saving any power. Big gold star to the fookwit who came up with that one.
Lightbulbs. They all now have to be LED. Which is fine, except they cost ten times more than the old ones. Which lasted for years. The LED ones are supposed to last much longer than the old ones, so that means they should last forever - in human terms. Except they don't. (The more expensive the brand - Phillips, I'm looking at you here - the more likely they are to pack up after just a few months.) So the small saving in electricity costs is instantly negated by the huge cost in replacing a lightbulb which would have cost a quid, but now costs nearly a tenner. Nice.
You must just have really crap electrical gear in your household as I personally haven't seen either of the above. I have a new kettle and toaster to replace mine which were about 15 years old and they are definitely quicker, the kettle especially. The LEDs with which I replaced the crappy energy saving bulbs 4 years ago are still fine....
Efficiency improvements for things like toilets and lightbulbs, passed by the Commission of Jose Manuel Barroso which ended in 2014, prompted negative press, particularly in the United Kingdom.
Juncker wasn't a fan though..
Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said on Thursday (23 February) that he “fought like a lion” against “ill-inspired Commissioners” who thought the EU should regulate the flushing of toilets.
