Let me remind you once again: this isn't just screwing up trade with our biggest customer/supplier. It's screwing up trade with the whole of the rest of the world as well. That's almost as much as the EU!

Canada is the 10th biggest economy and on the other side of the world. The UK is around the 5th biggest with twice the size of Canada and right next to the EU. However difficult it has been to do the Canada deal, it wil be much harder for Britain Minus Minus. The EU will be much more careful and will understandably be only too happy to take advantage of their massively superior bargaining position and the abject weakness of the incompetent, shambolic, pathetic Tory government.Originally posted by Eirikur View PostThe Canada deal negotiations took from 2009 -2016 and is still not fully in place today. Only parts are provisionally in place.
And you think Boris can do it in 3 years?

That will start the Transition Period which will have to be extended another two years. At the end of it will be Canada Minus Minus.
Bad news for contracting. Companies won't know what's going to happen for years so can't jump into change projects any time soon.
