There's 80 million of them and they are all terrorists and all coming here. I read it in the Wail, on the side of a bus, and from BoJo.

And there's probably more boats of them crossing the English Channel every day than there was during the Dunkirk evacuation (amazing how much furore the couple of boats threw up, yet it's all been quickly forgotten about)

The British system (also common across the globe) is you are presented with a choice of people to vote for. You normally vote for one of them because they have been selected - and therefore align with - an ideology that has been sold to you (aka Political Party). Their 'role' therefore is to support the political party on their ballot sheet entry. They maybe constrained eg not to be corrupt but beyond that there isn't much they are obliged to do with respect to concepts of representation etc.

The big problem we have now is the vast majority of MPs do not have a political party direction so the system has broken down into semi-anarchy. And there's no sign of it getting back onto an even keel.

Those who propose Britain is a world class force can't even take solace that we are pushing political shambles to an entirely new level. Without doubt we are doing a sterling job but unfortunately have very strong competition from the USA which has also been dragged to a halt by a mass of blatant self-deluders and also looks like it won't recover for a generation.

You're castigating a man because of his inherited resources.

Why do you not applaud his efforts as a Politician when he clearly does not *have* to do the job?

You are not a turkey m8, you are - a potato.

And this is the best case scenario for you - under fair EU regs you probably would struggle to be considered even "reformed potato".

He's starting to panic as he knows there is a fair chance he will lose his seat at the next GE. His area voted remain, they didn't really know who their MP was or what he stood for before the ref. Well, they know now and if recent reports on Points West where people have been interviewed on the streets of his constituency are anything to go by .... they are not best pleased with their MP.

This parliament could be his only chance to get his dream chaotic brexit through. He's even saying now he could support May's deal - I do wonder if behind closed doors May has threatened to resign and force a GE and her MPs are now all a panic.

According to their judgment as to the best interests of their constituents. That is what Rees Mogg does and that is the British system.

It would be a first if you ever were.

Maybe, if you want to develop any valid real world experience, and thereby gain an opinion that might be worth considering, you ought to try leaving your dreary nerdy little server room for longer periods than it takes to stock up with Energy Drinks, Pringles, and fresh boxes of wanking tissues?
