    Indeed by making this outlandish claim he's acknowledging that he'll never be held to account for it - that means he's given up.

    His plan has fizzled and died, only a group of unknown MP's turned up last night to the meeting to topple May.

    It seems they've decided to let May go through with Chequers and when it's all done and dusted claim it wasn't them. Boris doesn't care anyway, it is abundantly obvious he just wants to be PM.
