Except, not that anyone cares, but the EU's entire budget, Europol, CAP, all staff, regional development funds in 28 countries, everything, is limited to 1% of EU GDP by law.

The entire EU budget is not even 1/7th the size of the UK government's national budget.

The UK contributes less than 1% of it's national budget to European projects.

No one, other than shrill tabloid weirdos on one island off the coast of Europe, thinks the 0.1% of EU GDP that the UK contributes towards the EU is irreplaceable and makes the EU "Bankrupt".

I don't think we can, and I'm not sure we can strike our own trade deals either. We will of course continue to fund them, so it's a bit of a clustershag all round. What's the point of a bit of democracy when the unelected think they can just ignore it?

Wasn't the referendum about parliamentary sovereignty ?, yes parliament has unelected members, always has, this is the "will of the British people", they need to get over it.

The UK will effectively be staying in the EU. I predicted a Swiss style deal, but in the end the UK will end up much closer to the EU than either Norway or Switzerland.
