The UK needs to pay the bill, very simple just pay the bill.
Yes if you consider the drunken ramblings of a minor or major official (as remainers seem to classify him depending on whether he has put his foot in it).

You are forgetting we & Germany are the two biggest net contributors.

look they have pictures, click on Net contribution, you will note we have put so much behind the Bar even Drunker should be pissed by now!

This analogy falls flat on its arse quite quickly.

Did everyone go to the pub at the same time?

Has everyone else but the UK bought a round?

Did the person who bought the first round have to buy a full one or were less people there then?

strangely if after years of buying the rounds you decide the fecking scroungers need to step up to the plate and buy you one back.

Typical fecking bremoaner expects the UK to pay for your incompetence.

The facts behind the £350m per week EU membership claim

For many years, Britain and Germany were the only significant net contributors to the EU budget. Now, however, there are 12 countries who pay more in than they get back.

In terms of total contribution, Britain remains the second biggest payer behind Germany with a net spend of €11.5bn in 2015 according to the European Commission.
after years of buying the drinks we have had enough and are leaving the pissheads in the pub.

Oh sorry of course we should keep on paying its only fair

Again they can't tell us how much we should pay or why.

If the UK doesn't pay the bill, it will be very costly for the UK in the longterm

The political price will be hefty because local and regional politicians influence their national governments and their stance towards post-Brexit relations between the EU and the UK. A favourable divorce settlement for the UK – or none at all – may come at a high price for the UK in the long run.
In other words local politicians all over the EU will make sure the EU puts the boot in.
