Also, with QDOS you get a free contract review if you take out insurance with them. And their contract review service is excellent.

Just to point out it is a basic review of the contract and not a full review of working practices etc. Suits me fine and I use it but not for the newbies or those that CBA to understand the basics of IR35. They need a full review to be safe IMO.

That's what I was thinking. Surely they'll charge him interest if paying monthly.
Not interest as such, but a £12 admin fee on the first instalment.

Qdos Consulting - Taxation and VAT - Employment Law - HR - Insurance - Contractor Insurance - IR35 - PI Insurance
I got the Hiscox insurance from policybee.co.uk it was a cheaper quote than hiscox website (marginally).
Next year I'll go with someone cheaper. Anyone know any linked with cashback websites (quidco etc)?

They weren't competitive when I last bought PI/PL......QDOS were easily the best price for me.

TBH, unless you have any special requirements, I haven't found cheaper than QDOS for insurance. Professional indemnity, public liability and employers liability (if you need it - you might not) can be had for around £300. PI alone cost me £147 at last renewal.

You may need specialist PI if you work with US-based clients.

I have PIL from Hiscox and I found them to be very helpful (although haven't had to claim yet) and for me, the cheapest option available (although this was in a package with public liability and employer's liability).

Insurance good. Paid for from business account good. Hiscox, expensive.
