Who earns £500 and works 300 days a year? Only some with a large coke habit would need to do that.

In my world there is only a maximum of 252 working days this year, so a 300 WD year is a 6 day week every week just about.

Anyone else find anything?

Been doing some digging myself but it's hard to find anything on these guys. No registered company with that name, no company info on the website. Mr Powell does not seem to be associated with the name Contractor Angels anywhere other than the registration details.

Searching LinkedIn for Simon Powell Isle of Man gets no hits but googling it gives us quite a few references to 78Media.com

However...

Digging into the code of the website reveals a few things.

It was built with a drag and drop DIY web tool built by the Smarter Web Company.

So whoever is responsible for it didn't spend much money and probably did it themselves. More interestingly though, the Umbrella logo and tag line "More than just an umbrella company" appears to have been linked directly from another companies website, as does the angel logo.

That company is The Bedouin Group, who have previous on here for a variety of offshore/EBT related schemes.

Now digging for Simon Powell and Bedouin turns up this guy.

Reading through his profile shows lots of IoM links ( and highlights how crap the search function on LinkedIn is). It also links him to 78Media.com and lots of contractor related entrepreneurial web shenanigans.

So I'm guessing from the limited info available that this is the right guy.
