I didn’t get a legal review, but I did get the umbrella to change the location of the services (to my own address as was wfh), and add a notice period (as the contract originally didn’t specify one, and when I spoke to them they said I was expected to work the entire term of the contract without notice which was obviously unacceptable). So worth thoroughly checking over the terms if you don’t.

Just because an umbrella isn't on a list doesn't mean the umbrella won't be acceptable.

I hope you appreciate that you are a less important customer of your umbrella than the agency is... I can't remember if Paystream pay to get on PSLs but I think they do so I'm glad to see you are keeping your agency in champagne.

Never seen a brolly contract so might just eyeball it first to see what its like.

So the only thing that matters is, "is the umbrella trustworthy or are they a bunch of crooks" - because believe me the contract isn't the item I would be concerned about.

Given that the list of trustworthy umbrellas is currently very short - just give Lucy at Clarity a ring...

Why bother. You are being screwed for more tax than any other employee pays anyway.

started a topic PAYE contract review worth doing?

    PAYE contract review worth doing?

Hi all. Just picked up my first inside IR35 gig with a bank, so PAYE with umbrella.

I'm so used to getting my contracts reviewed, got me thinking, is it worth getting the PAYE contract reviewed by QDOS / Bauer and Cottrell, etc?
Not for IR35 but general terms and conditions, wording, etc.

What's everyone else doing these days on PAYE contracts?
Working...
