OP - Afraid its a done deal. Whos right and whos wrong we'll never know.
At some point, everyone finds a client populated by total bellends.... It happens.
p.s. Agency are avoiding you now because theres nothing to be gained from arguing about it any more....

Not totally sure what you mean by you had to check something but your colleague had saved changes which had no affect of prod. Just don’t get it but I guess it’s kinda irrelevant for this thread. But anyway.
I’ll just reiterate what those above said.
We’ve got you’re side of the story and it sounds like they’ve all acted badly but as a contractor you have to move on, get another contract. You won’t get anything out of this.
Someone contracting for 6.5 years (or 10 lolz) should already understand this imo.

On the plus side, being terminated without notice is a good indication that you were outside IR35.

Contract Terminated without notice
Hello All ,
Please divert the thread to correct forum if this is wrong one.
I have situation now where my contract is terminated without notice.
I have been contracting almost 10 years now and I am facing this situation first time. Hope this forum can direct me in correct direction.
I have been offered a 6 months contract at a company at start of the year with decent rate . Obviously through agency .
Started up with good note and once a month a passed I did understand that there is something missing in the company as it is very bureaucratic , no process , nothing. As a contractor didnot like it as my work is not moving forward and I had bad feeling from almost from end of 2nd month that my contract will not get extended as I am not satisfied with my own performance . In end of 4th month(last week) ,there was situation where I need to check something where i didn't have access and asked colleague to check and let me know so that i can raise necessary changes . Unfortunately , my colleague had saved changes(mistakenly and no impact on live systems whatsoever ). So we both went to our line manager and informed what has happened as we didnt want that to be shock to manager if someone discovers and reports it.
So , someone discovered it before we have raised a retrospective change and escalated it to higher management. My manager tired to pursue the situation but couldn't(i think). So,on bad day got a call(around 4pm) from agency saying that contract terminated by client from end of that day with performance related and the incident where i got my colleague in to trouble. Agency pursued to walk away at the point indicated that they will help me with legal if i am feel that should not done once I receive the report from agency. I walked away end of the day in shock from client place. No formal email received from agency all verbal.
Called the agency next day to send the details which they received , promised to be sent to me by end of the day . Nothing received . Next day same drama. Third day i have emailed them saying that i will consider this as notice period as i didn't receive anything in formal way.My notice period either party is 1month. Then got a scanned document from agent signed by agency director saying that contract terminated due to clause " if there is a material failure by the consultant to perform the services in a proper and effective manner" . However no substantial evidence have been provided to me(which was promised to me verbally by agent on day of termination).
Tired to call the agency to check the exact issue , agent plays hide and seek.
Really frustrated with this. I understand that I under performed and made a mistake but I was not terminated as gross misconduct. No project planning has done by any of PM's I was working . No dead lines given. No warning's given . Everyone knows about internal bureaucracy. Agency is interested in client rather than me. No respect from them to me as I no longer making money to them.
So , based on this I want to take legal help as I need to defend myself. Its not about money but prove that I am right and teach a lesson to the agency.
Please help me pointers.
Thanks in advance.Tags: None
