Anticipated it might be that. Did seem a bit odd to have two people with a strong reputation in the industry doing anything and everything small business related except contractors/freelancers! Best of luck with itOriginally posted by Craig@Clarity View PostWe do now. We couldn't before due to restrictions

Clare's at Clarity, don't think they specialise in contractors...though whether that means they couldn't/wouldn't help or not I don't know.Last edited by Contractor UK; 16 August 2019, 22:44.

That’s a shame. It would be useful for us at InTouch, if you could provide your personal Accountant with some feedback on the reasons, as we are always striving to achieve the best level of service as possible for our clients.Originally posted by wokingcontract View PostIts been a while - but just wanted to say I just sacked InTouch after 6 months of abysmal service - good riddance
Do feel free to drop me a private message if preferred and I can speak to you direct about this.

Fair play - it's obviously come on a long way in the last 18months. This is a good thing, I'm a fan of competitive markets - it helps raise the bar for all suppliers .Originally posted by Neil@Intouch View PostI'm not divulging all details on an open forum, but would be happy to discuss this privately. -Yes with certain banks

I agree that FA has the benefit over our portal in terms of the bank feeds and analyzing the transactions automatically, but it will be hard to find one that does.

Does you portal now do
-Automatic bank feeds
- auto bank transaction categorisation
- invoice creation
- dividend vouchers
I ask as I know your previous version didn't, so interested in how it has come along.
Also, what does it do that FA doesnt ? Not a loaded Q, I'm genuinely interested in what other requirements contractors have

Hi Neil,Originally posted by Neil@Intouch View PostNot at all Alan. Our portal actually has more benefits than FreeAgent and is streamlined with all our 3rd party software. The reason being is that the market (contractors) in general seem to be recommended FreeAgent more and more, hence the reason for us adding this extra solution as an alternative to clients.

It's his race engineers I feel sorry for. When the spec for the engine management system comes through and at the bottom it says 'Must be able to export in CSV format'.Originally posted by Alan @ BroomeAffinity View PostI can just picture Simon sitting in the deck of his gin palace in Monte Carlo thinking "you know what, that spreadsheet really is carp" :-)

Possibly more the case that FA is steadily gaining traction as the industry standard or the client's preferred option. Betamax was "better" than VHS but VHS still became the preferred platform. Bespoke Platform versus FreeAgent is very likely the same thing in action. Darwinism.Originally posted by Alan @ BroomeAffinity View PostIs that not a tacit admission that the portal isn't up to scratch?
