But you're right it's not what he asked. He has the correct answers anyway so a bit of a result if he was after correct answers.

Could you get your "friend" to open a new bank account, then he/she/it will get £100.
How much are you wanting to pay them, and will they be raising an invoice?

It might well be. Good call. That's what I reckon as well.

To the OP.... whatever you do the money must be traceable to the 'subcontractor'/'MIL'/whomever or else Hector could deem it a dodgy/illegal payment. So the recipient must be able to provide a genuine/traceable receipt or invoice.
And it must be for services in relation to your business.

My girlfriend keeps telling me that, but there are always ways that what isn't an option or might be inconvenient can suddenly become not only possible but desirable if you put your mind to it and try hard enough.

You need to pay someone in cash, but you are saying ATM or going into branch isn't an option ? If that is the case, surely bank transfer would be most viable option. Or you could look into Western Union ??

Another option is to tell your subbie you can't pay him cash. Big then you'll not never get your discount and he'll need to pay tax on it ;-)
If the OP knows that the reason for cash is to evade tax then he is also breaking the law by paying cash. Conspiracy to fraud amongst others I think. IANAL.
