Altering the doc seems bad but it was a very long time ago. I would just be honest and go for it.

The first one was a motoring offence 18 years ago so wouldnt worry about it.

Second one is a bit suspect but as above you just have to be honest and go for it as it was 18 years ago.

A friend has a conviction from long ago for dealing in stolen goods and recently became DV cleared. In all likelihood you'll be fine so long as you come clean and have stayed clean.

WHS - all you can do is apply for it and then be completely honest - try to hide anything and if they find out you will never stand a chance. Usually with SC you have to have got a gig that requires SC before the client or agent will sponsor you for it.

I once worked with a chap who had a conviction for manslaughter. He was SC cleared. He was honest about it on the forms.

He was one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting (but that's not relevant to SC).

That thread will explain what they are looking for and what they don't care about with plenty of people asking about specific cases. Interestingly in a vast majority of these questions the answer whoever they've punched or whatever drugs they've been caught with or whatever isn't usually problem. That said I imagine 'ALTERING INSURANCE DOCUMENT WITH INTENT TO DECIEVE' isn't going to go down very well with them at all.

Just on a technical point, changing the date on your insurance doesn't show you were insured but I guess you know that now

In 1998,I droved a car without insurance but to make it worst, I changed the date on my insurance certificate to show that I was insured.

I was charged with ALTERING INSURANCE DOCUMENT WITH INTENT TO DECIEVE.

Do you know if these convictions will prevent me from getting Security Clearance ?
