Not knowing what a "checking of contract" letter is, and never having heard of one I couldn't possibly comment but I suspect the necessary advice is in one of the guides on the site. Or you post question on tier boards and someone will know what you need to know.

But IPSE/IPSE+ cover is for legal support and advice if you're subject to some kind of formal investigation. The free Tax and Legal helplines are your first port of call for other advice. And the scope of their cover has also expanded in the last year or so.

Also IPSE is for any tax investigation, not just IR35, so that's VAT, CT and PAYE/NICs inquiries. AS has been said, it's a no brainer.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I will joing IPSE anyway but wanted to compare the products, particularly when you also have B&C in the mix as well as the other two.

Maybe I should have left IPSE out of the comparison.

Anyway, no need for further responses. It looks like IPSE+ and QDOS are the two to go for.

I am trying to separate and compare the IR35/Tax services so they can be fairly compared to the other companies.

The additional benefits of IPSE+ would be part of a wider consideration of joining.
Here's an apple. It looks apple-like. It smells apple-like. When you bite into it, it tastes like an apple.

Here's an orange. It looks like an orange. It smells like an orange. When you peel it and bite into it, it tastes like an orange.

Compare and contrast the two, and report your findings back.

To be honest this is getting a little boring now. The search I gave shows a ton of threads where this is discussed in detail. You can speak to both and find out for yourself as well.

There is the other option that I and a few other posters do and that is buy both. It's cheap enough to not have me worrying about it. I have TLC35 which isn't expensive as it has the free contract review with it and I have IPSE+ which almost pays for itself with the Advantages program alone let alone the rest.

If and when the situation does arise I need it then I will approach both and make a decision. If I were you I'd be putting more effort in to understand IR35, your clients and they way you work to avoid the situation arising.
