Don't know if it's changed recently (I noticed a slight facelift on their website), but for my Barclays Business account I can search for transactions up to two years ago, with a maximum range of 395 days,

You can then hit the export button.

    Works for me at least.

I love Lloyds online banking, personal is great and business is pretty good. My business account was moved to TSB but still based on the same (ex lloyds) platform.

Precisely. Only sensible explanation to me is that Lloyds are working on their own Data Service-esque solution and inserted the clause ahead of time.

You don't. I set up the datafeeds into FA a few weeks back. Although it says in the email that you need your telephone banking details, I just called Barclays via the mobile banking app (which skips you past most of the security checks), asked for the data services team and gave them the token code that is emailed to you when you request the service through FA.

Agreed it's incredibly useful though and prevents the need for faffing around with CSV exports etc.

However if you're still having to give up your login details seems like you'd be in breach to me. The whole situation is incredibly frustrating - banks don't seem to realise how much demand there is for secure read-only access to account data.

Lloyds actually ammended their Ts&Cs a while ago to include this clause:

We will not treat you as breaking your security obligations just because you use an aggregation service we do not provide, as long as you continue to keep your Security Details secure and do not disclose them to the service provider. A*typical aggregation service allows you to view information about your accounts with different banks on a single website.

Not to mention that it worked perfectly well until they "upgraded" the web-site.

I moved from CA to Barclays at Christmas last year and haven't looked back. But then I use the automated feed into FA, and haven't needed to manually go back into historic downloads.
