Yep, had one this morning to the separate domain I use for online shopping, enclosing my tax code. Nice personal service from "[email protected]"

I, on the other hand, opened one and am due my refund imminently
Apparently, I just needed to send an administration payment to the account details they provided in the .zip file, and then I will receive my refund - so easy, I could even send them the money via Western Union, if I wanted, and - strangely - seems the contact there was also a Prince!

Same old crap:

It's good to get occasional reminders. Indeed, don't be a dumbass and open a zipped attachment.

And readers please note: the two regular posters above DID NOT react with horror and ask
"but what if it was a real HMRC notification?!?! "
Because they are not dumbasses.
HTH.
(actually, I do like the 'Head for The Hills' idea )

That is all.
Claimed to be notification of a tax notice being issued (P6 or P6b).
Used all the HMRC branding and logo's.
