In the UK i think that part of the market (front end) has been permanently damaged by AI.
If you look at the hourly rates on Upwork for front end I would suspect they will trend below 30 quid an hour from here.

State of the market for June 2026 was much worse than 2023, is my view.
HAYS share price has appeared to have bottomed for now, until the 20th August full yearly results release i would suspect. I dont expect them to be good but they might offer some positivity for state of the market...

put it into Claude, set it to Opus 4.8 Max, give it a one paragraph description of who you are and what type of job or contract you want and what rate. throw it your CV, ask for a ATS compliance check and an end to end review and re-write with a limit of 4 pages. Tell it to not include any email, phone...

The drops are related to AI but Accenture in particular the grenade is related to their forward bookings appearing to come off a peak. The share price reflects whether a shareholder thinks that the tradjectory on that order book is going to bottom out at least minus 25% from where it was at the start...Last edited by Bluenose; 22 June 2026, 10:20.
