I thought it was frowned upon to start threads about other people ?

Maybe there should be a thread "Markmm should not be a poster"

But why don't you find an even greater injustice to fight? Somewhere else.

There are some posters who get away with more than others.

Sas is one. Spod is another.

But I think this is more to do with the moderators approach to seasoned 'care in the community' posters who if not on CUK would be getting themself in trouble on 'restricted' sites. Best to keep an eye on them here.

Oh and markmm... please. The bleating on about what kandr's last post was is pointless. It's not about his last post. It's after reading quite a lot of them over the last few days, and after a fair few warnings. It's not as though this would've been a surprise to him. I shouldn't really have to spell this out to you.

Also - it's no problem if someone has a different opinion to the crowd. I'm all up for it. The place would be interminably dull without it. But there's a difference between winding people up by virtue of having a different opinion to them - and having a different opinion for the sake of winding them up. There's also a difference between debate and vitriol. It's sometimes a fine line between genuine 'character' and trolling - and I've always given people the chance via PM before taking action.

I'm trying to help this place be a little more civilised, an amusing (and sometimes informative) distraction from the bench or the client - not a place where people are fatigued by the incessant, petty, abusive behaviour of a minority of stirrers. It's not an easy job, but it's not a popularity contest either. So until Admin/CUK or the other mods say otherwise - that's exactly what I'll continue to try to achieve.

Indeed, using a biscuit tin is just silly.

Crumpled tin foil over a mesh of copper wire moulded to the shape of the head gives much superior protection and is far less likely to fall off. It also has the advantage of not providing a smooth surface for the location waves to bounce off of thus making it harder for them to pinpoint your location.

As much as it pains me I agree with MM. I'm not sure that RH is bias in so much I don't feel he has the best judgement in what is an infraction/ban and communication with the other mods(I have discussed this via PM with him so he doesn't need to reply to this)

On the last exchange I offered to swap duties with him. He asked who I would ban first...

                    Spod. You're fired!

                    Quelle surprise!

As much as it pains you? Bollocks.

I don't see how you can judge that, there should be clear rules. I agree if people are starting threads that are clearly provocative (as some people have done, although funnily enough not kandr), eg DP's thread, then they should be warned.

Anyway it's doubtful anything will be done, but I think its important to raise issues such as this.
