One for the Romantics.
We stopped at a place in Montana for petrol, its called Lovelock.
You can get a lock, put your message in, then chain it outside the county courthouse. It will lock your love together forever.

Unexpected interloper in the wifes shot of sunset behind the Golden gate bridge.
We did a 6 hour detour to get that shot, she didnt know about the bird till we got home to Manchester.
(I told her later that I heard a mad laughing from behind her right shoulder, in the bay, where the ghost of Stroud, the birdman, is said to haunt the island of Alcatraz...spooky eh..)
no i just made all that up

Thats right. It's not just Oz where you can find an outback dunny. The difference here is the incentive to be quick....
A howling pack of wolves on the hunt, racing through the oolu about half a mile away

We did a bit of hiking, after checking that there were no grizzlies around. This was from the swift creek trail, Valemount. Caribou mountains form the backdrop

The missus took this from the safety of the vehicle. A female, about the half the size of the big fellows above, may be the size of a great Dane. Anyways when I got out of the vehicle, (over to the left of shot) her nostrils flared extremely wild as she smelled me and she panicked and took off like a shot.
When I got back into the vehicle, the missus was gone and I saw her trotting down the highway, nostrils flareing..... note to self, change socks twice as often. every three days.

The outside bogs were "too far in winter, too close in summer".Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment
