I have no objection to the concept of a civil partnership between 2 gays. What I object to is :-

* Homosexuality being allowed to be promoted in school.
* Homosexual partners having 'parenting' rights.
* Many of the legal rights now afforded to gays are not afforded to non-sexual partners i.e 2 elderly sisters living together and when 1 dies the other subject to death duties.

Also I'm not comfortable with the age of consent being the same as hetro or as near as damn it. This is nothing to do with gay rights - it is to do with allowing mature gays more freedom to seduce young, impressionable people who in adolescent years often experience varying levels of confusion surrounding their sexuality. Abnormal sexual feelings now being taught as normal. They should be 'out of bounds' to gay sexual hunters.

You entirely ignored my 2nd point there jabber. Those 6bn. Since the last thing we need is more procreation, presumably we should all give up sex altogether.

The main point is, it is about individual freedom. (Whether gays should be able to adopt kids etc is an entirely different issue) Regardless of what others think of it, since it harms no one else, it is nobody else's bleedin' business.
