Tomorrow morning ends up being a bit hair-raising for me.
A forklift truck driver broke the electricity cable that supplies the area I live in with power.
The power came back on at about 8:30 am and at 9:30 I headed off to the mall to get some provisions for my lunch.
When I arrive at the local mall I find it is in darkness, there is still no power on there.
So I decide to head of to the mall a few kilometres down the road only to find the journey fraught with difficulty because none of the traffic lights are working.
It is the same story at the next mall, total darkness, so I head off even further to find a part of town that did have electricity.
It was certainly a hair-raising journey with all the hazardous intersections that I had to cross but it turned out OK in the end and of course the only time that another car nearly ran in to me was on a roundabout.
The important thing is that I can now have my lunch.

I should point out that this is not a completely mickey-mouse country, there is a second electricity cable for backup.
Unfortunately is was not operating due to maintenance work.
