It's a reasonable take on a Philip K. Dick novella, "We can remember it for you wholesale".

    Which explains the reality shifts.

Loved the bit where his wife gets offed.

I think that applies to many of us.

You never know though, the lustee might be flattered.

Either that or you can expect to spend the rest of your working years behind bars!
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

Wasn't Swansea Jack that dog that saved people?

Calling the lowlife residents Jacks seems to me to be harsh on that poor dog.

          It is alright.

As long as you don't a) patch it and b) connect it to the web.

The unpatched unconnected lab computers are mostly ok.

It's the other ones that are a pain.

I don't know whether to be amazed at your confidence or that 33 updates have downloaded without failure.
They're generally ok during the download bit.

It's during the installation phase that everything tends to go tits up.

Or my working life might be rapidly curtailed on that site.

I think (though I'm not sure) that it's a Rugby thing.

Llanelli are referred to as Turks.

                Neath are the Blacks.

                Swansea are the Jacks.

                Or something.

There is/was a saying "I'd rather be a Black than a Jack" which might be taken the wrong way under some circumstances.

Not being an avid follower of rugby, I was rather confused when I worked at "A major magnetic tape manufacturer" in the 1970s.

There was a lot of reference to the Loughor bridge, which, apparently, is the dividing line between the Jacks & the Turks.

Beats the crap out of me.

I wonder wot sort of intake we'll have this year.
