'Pleased'? That's not important. More important is whether you are you pleased. It was your idea.

I am pleasantly surprised I managed to make a reasoned case for my views and was not torn to pieces.

I am also surprised how the conversation is around C# and C++ and the like. It made me realise most people on here have never programmed in C; it was too long ago. I feel like a crusty old dinosaur.

You criticised your own abilities in that thread; I was expecting a 'pagga' from you. (That is the right word, isn't it?)
