Sansai (山菜?) is a Japanese word literally meaning "mountain vegetables", originally referring to vegetables that grew naturally in the wild and were not cultivated. However in modern times, the distinction is somewhat blurred, as some sansai such as warabi have been successfully cultivated.[1] Sansai are often used as ingredients in shōjin ryōri, or Buddhist vegetarian cuisine.

Sodium polyacrylate also named acrylic sodium salt polymer, ASAP, the super-slurper (because of its ability to absorb as much as 200 to 300 times its mass in water) is a polymer widely used in consumer products with a formula of [-CH2-CH(COONa)-] repeating. Acrylate polymers generally are considered to possess an anionic charge. While sodium neutralized polyacrylates are the most common form used in industry, there are also other salts available including potassium, lithium and ammonium.

Sorry to hear about your local. Redditch had a similar controversy a while back where the best performing high school (by a long margin) was knocked down, and the land promptly sold to a property developer to build houses. A lot of the usual diligence phases in the process seemed to be skipped or "forgotten"...
