I watched the Timewatch about raising the cannons from that ship off Alderney last night... it's been waiting to be watch for about 6 weeks.

Loved the bit where they compared a 1911 Colt 45 Auto with a black powder musket... and were surprised that the musket ball penetrated 2mm of steel plate whereas the .45 slug didn't...

The cannon manufacturing and firing was fun too...

Didn'm much like the look of the wrought iron cannon though... more dangerous to the gunner than the target...
