Ahh - druken people, locks and a canal - as we have a canal at the bottom of the garden this gives us endless fun in the summer months. Even more so if we go to the local and see them operating the drawbridgeOriginally posted by BrowneIssue View PostMind you, it is tempting.
We used to go on narrowboat holidays a few times a year (who'd be a permie?). By this time of day I could expect to have 2 or 3 pints inside me, especially in the summer months. I could have been drinking for 4 hours by now. And I'd meet people at the locks already drunk. Sometimes they'd not be on boats.
It's a lovely life for a dipso.

I found that a couple of pints made it far easier to get the boat into a lock.Originally posted by BrowneIssue View PostMind you, it is tempting.

And that could easily be a euphemism for something smutty, the precise details of which are left as an exercise for the reader.Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?Comment
