Ooooo, I know Winyates well - I used to live on Winyates Green, the nice bit on the outskirts of town (my parents are still there). Unfortunately the nearest pub was "The Dog", but The Washford Mill and The Boot were within a good staggering distance.Originally posted by zara_backdog View PostMy ex moved to Winyates and he is primevil

I never knew this at the time, but the main AT&T Labs European office was at the end of the road I used to live on. I heard that Bjarne Stroustrup (the father of C++) came along to close it down, but I bet he didn't hang around for long, and I bet he didn't stay in the Campanile next door.Originally posted by voodooflux View PostOoooo, I know Winyates well - I used to live on Winyates Green, the nice bit on the outskirts of town (my parents are still there).
