    I recall a few years ago visiting the dentist. I needed an injection for a filling and while I was waiting for the effect to kick in he asked me if I would have a look at his computer as it was reporting an error when he booted it.

    I looked at it and sorted the problem (he'd removed some hardware without uninstalling the software that was looking for it).

    After this he completed the filling and I left to be met with a bill by the receptionist.

    It did puzzle me as to why my time is considered free but he charges! Bearing in mind he can cause me pain I decided not to argue the point.
