We paid £99 for an extras package, which got us in early, two bikes, food package, £10 food voucher, plus two trips to the spa - but the spa is only available on the day you arrive / leave.

I recall there are some nice restaurants there as well.

My parents ate at Cafe Rouge there the other night, and said it was quite good. The Chinese and the Indian were heaving on the Sunday night, so they went there instead.

The Chinese was VERY good when we did takeout from there once - real fruit in the sweet and sour sauce, which was a pleasant surprise.

Anyone else tried the French Center Parcs?

I've been to both Les Bois Francs and Hauts Bruyeres. Both in pleasant settings and a good base for exploring the area.

They were ideal a couple of years ago when holidaying with two 16 year old and a 6 year old.

We always used to arrive on the morning before we were allowed into the chalet. We'd get the bikes and book the activities, although I think you can book activities now before you even get there.

When the barriers raised at 3pm it was a mad rush to get to the chalet. This was also the best time to stay in the pool as it was nearly empty. We used to leave the pool about 4:30pm, eat and then go to the chalet after everyone else had returned to the car park.
